To offer a more accessible and engaging understanding of contemporary art, the 2026 Galleries Art Fair in Suwon will present a guided docent program led by professional docents. Centered on the currents of contemporary art and the narratives behind each artist’s practice, the program unpacks the ideas and contexts embedded in the works in an approachable manner. It invites participants to explore details that might otherwise be overlooked and to engage with diverse perspectives.

In 2026, under the themes “Art that Transforms Everyday Life” and “The Intersection of Tradition and Modernity,” the program expands this curatorial framework beyond the white cube to explore works that resonate with real living spaces and daily life. It proposes how art can influence the atmosphere and quality of life, while introducing contemporary reinterpretations of Korean traditional aesthetics alongside works in which classical materials merge with modern technology and media. 키즈 프로그램 | KIDS PROGRAM

스페인의 거장 안토니 가우디의 건축 미학을 ‘거울’이라는 일상 오브제에 담아낸 키즈 아트 프로그램입니다. 아이들은 직접 다양한 조각들을 배치하며 가우디 특유의 트렌카디스 기법을 자연스럽게 경험하고, 자신만의 패턴과 색감으로 세상에 하나뿐인 거울 작품을 완성하게 됩니다.

단순한 만들기 활동을 넘어, 작품 속에 50년 뒤 미래의 화가에게 전하는 메시지를 담아보며 예술적 상상력과 창의적 표현을 확장하는 시간을 제공합니다. 일상 속 오브제를 새로운 시선으로 바라보고, 건축과 디자인, 예술이 연결되는 과정을 흥미롭게 체험할 수 있도록 구성하였습니다.

This kids’ art program reinterprets the architectural aesthetics of Spanish master Antoni Gaudí through the everyday object of a mirror. Children will explore Gaudí’s signature trencadís mosaic technique by arranging colorful pieces themselves, creating a one-of-a-kind mirror filled with their own patterns and sense of color.

Beyond a simple craft activity, the program encourages children to expand their artistic imagination and creative expression by leaving a message for an artist living 50 years in the future within their completed artwork. Designed as an engaging hands-on experience, the program invites participants to discover new perspectives on everyday objects while exploring the connection between architecture, design, and art.
